This was my first Feature Film Digital work in Hollywood CA. I was hired by Kodak Cinesite in 1995. I moved from Chicago working in tv and games. Mainly on this film I was responsible for the modeling/texturing/lighting and almost all the layout and camera moves. We had a wonderful team at Cinesite, very small 3D crew comprising about 8 artists. Kerry Nordquist was a terrific texture painter that we poached from ILM and we worked in concert on the stadium look and feel. On the 2d side, A fine team from Warner Brothers animation led by Gary Mori worked with us to layout the position of where the characters would go and then I would deliver all that layout to them and they would hand animate each frame of Bugs Bunny and the rest in digital ink and paint. But it all started with them on paper. Which is awesome. Juan Buhler did some fancy scripting to randomize the audience animations that were all on cards. If memory serves we began this project in Alias Power Animator which was my strength at that time coming from Chicago with renderman and some additional elems done in Alias proprietary renderer. We may have used maya at the end, but it was definitely in its infancy and I can't recall. Overall a great way to get my feet wet in Hollywood.
